The App That Saves You Money

There are a lot of people who might not know that McDonald’s has an app for iPhone and Android phones which can save you a ton of money if and when you frequent a McDonald’s.  It has deals everyday that can save you money.  You can simply download it from the App Store or Google Play onto your smartphone and start using right away.  Some of the deals I get keep me going back again and again because it offers tremendous value.

For example, as of writing this blog, there is an offer, “Buy one Large Sandwich, get one Free”.  I have been using this offer to get the Signature style sandwich which McDonald’s has.  I usually get two Pico Guacamole sandwiches, one with beef and the other with grilled chicken, no lettuce, and no cheese on an Artisan bun.  They be on point!  Also, I know McDonald’s coffee is no Starbucks because you cannot do a lot of customization; however, if you are looking for decent Mocha, Latte, Frappé, Iced Coffee for great value, then get this app and visit your nearest McDonald’s.  In addition, you can earn a free coffee a lot quicker through McDonald’s app than you would on Starbucks and they quite often have buy one get one free McCafé deals.  Recently, McDonald’s went to All Day Breakfast, which has been a hit as you’ll always find something on the app for buying a breakfast sandwich.  You just need to check it out to see for yourself!

How It Works

How it works is pretty simple, you can roll up in the drive thru  or at the counter and tell the person taking your order you have this deal on the app or just order, for example, items like I mentioned above, and once they ring up your order and tell you your total, use your phone to click on the offer until you see a bar code like to the right.  If you are at the counter, there is usually a little scanner which you place your phone against with the bar code facing towards the scanner.  If you are at drive thru, again click on offer to the barcode and they will scan the code.  Once they have scanned, you will either get a new lower total or a credit for next free coffee.  See I saved $3.39 using this app.

In Closing

If you want to take a friend some coffee and only have to pay for one, you can look like a wonderful, generous person and they might never know you got it free using McDonald’s app.  If you don’t feel like cooking breakfast and want to pick up some sausage biscuits for the kids, you can buy one and the other is on the house.  If you spend over certain amount, there are offers where you get money off.  It pays to use apps like McDonald’s if it leads to discounts on items you were planning to purchase anyway and tons of savings along the way.
